Ukwuori-Gisela Kalu BSc (Hons) MSc (Bristol)

After completing BSc in Psychology at the University of the West of England, Bristol (2005-2008), Ukwuori did her MSc in Neuro-psychology at the University of Bristol (2008-2009). From January to July 2009 she held an Honorary Contract with North Bristol NHS Trust, and completed her Masters thesis in collaboration with Frenchay Hospital on the validity of pre-morbid IQ estimates in childhood acquired brain injury (Dr Ingram Wright and Dr. Kit Pleydell-Pearce). She joined the Department of Psychiatry in July 2009 as research assistant. Ukwuori has a strong interest in Clinical Psychological and Psychiatric, and from June to September 2006 she worked as Clinical Assistant in the Adult Psychiatry Unit of the Hospital de Britanico de Buenos Aires in Argentina. From 2006 to 2008 she worked as voluntary clinical support worker for the Headway Centre Frenchay Hospital, were she received the Queen’s Jubilee Award 2007. Ukwuori is a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP), as well as a member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Ukwuori is now a member of the Neuropsychology Team (Russell Cairns Unit) at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
