My Undergraduate Thesis was on "Increased vulnerability to stress following opiate dependence: the role of glucocorticoids, serotonin and noradrenaline". Following the completion of my undergraduate degree in Psychology at UNSW, Australia, I worked for a year as a research assistant with Dr Michelle Moulds, UNSW. My research interests are in the area of Experimental Psychopathology, and in particular, the area of depression. It is my aspiration to become a clinical academic combining experimental research with its application in a clinical setting.
DPhil Research aims
My research is examining the relationship between cognitive bias and information processing in depression. The main focus of my research is positive interpretation training in the context of depression. Overall, it is my hope that this work will inform both theory and treatment development in the future.
